LM 98 pts : Made from low-yield vineyards in Manduria, this wine is crafted using partially raisined grapes left to dry naturally on the vine before harvest, concentrating flavours and aromas through a 20–30% loss of water. Partial of wine aged in new, first & second passage oak barrels for 6 months and a further refinement in bottle for 2 – 3 months before release. Austere bouquet of red fruit in jam, morello cherry and dried plum. Tertiary hints of vanilla and cloves. Velvety, full-bodied and harmonious.
