Pinot Bianco Riserva Vorberg is bright, focused and incredibly young. Ripe pear, spice and sweet floral notes emerge over time, but this wine is just showing the barest hint of its true potential. The focused, tense finish suggests a very bright future lies ahead. It would be great if readers could cellar this wine for a few years, as it will only blossom with more time in bottle. / A vivid, wonderuflly alive wine, the 2012 Pinot Bianco Riserva Vorberg is intensely mineral and savory in style, with the fruit pushed a bit to the background. Slate, smoke, dried pear, sage and petrol add nuance on the beautifully textured, focused finish. This is a super-classic expression of Vorberg and the Terlano house style. The 2012 Vorberg is a real highlight in this group of current releases.
