This red wine is made from the Negroamaro grape, native to Puglia and cultivated in the regionâs southern lands since as early as the 6th century BC. Produced in the town of the same name in the province of Lecce, it matures for about four months in oak barrels, followed by a further 2â3 months in bottle before release. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red colour with garnet reflections and offers generous aromas of blackberry, ripe fruit, pepper, tobacco, and walnut. On the palate, it is warm, smooth, and well-rounded.
